Love Give Foundation ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights. We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and related regulations.

What we collect

• When you contact us: your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
• When you volunteer or partner: the details you choose to provide in the form.
• When you donate: your name, email, and donation amount. Card and bank details are entered on our payment provider's secure checkout. We never see or store your full card details.
• Basic usage data: anonymous information about how the site is used, to help us improve it.

How we use your data

• To respond to your messages and requests.
• To process donations and send you a receipt.
• To keep proper records and report on our work transparently.
• To improve the website and our outreaches.

Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of your consent (which you give when you contact or donate to us), to fulfil a request you have made, and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, including our payment provider (Paystack), email delivery (Resend), content and hosting (Sanity, Vercel) and network security (Cloudflare). We may disclose data where required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, or as required by law and good financial record-keeping, after which it is securely deleted.

Your rights

Under the NDPA you have the right to access your data, correct it, request its deletion, withdraw consent, and object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email hello@lovegivefoundation.org.

Children and beneficiaries

We work with vulnerable people, including children in hospital and elderly people. We only publish photographs or stories of beneficiaries with appropriate consent, and we handle their information with special care.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with its update date.
